It’s been a while, I know. I’ve been focusing on body piercing, and drawing. This piece has been sitting, unedited on my hard drive for near two years now. I was talking with the model earlier today, and decided to go back through some old files. Glad I did.

Hallek 0622
Original shot taken on May 25, 2011 in my dining room, in Costa Mesa, CA. Final edit May 31, 2011.
Model: Hallek
This piece has a few elements that I’ve been wanting to do, and I believe I’ve succeeded.
I’ve been wanting to do more manipulations regarding human form. Change tha shape, rather that replace parts with other things. Hallek is very petite, and fit. This seemed to make it easier to rework her shape.
About the set:The background is a big piece of stretch velvet tacked to the wall. My flash was on remote behind a curtain of semi-sheer fabric for diffusion. It was the only real source of light, other than a small amount bleeding through the curtains in the house.
About the edit: Reworked the color and saturation of the background and the model separately, and reduced the color noise quite a bit.. Made use of the “Liquefy” tool for body shaping and eye enlarging. Did some motion blur in the upper left corner, and come color was added to the edges.
